Los dilatadores son una categoría aparte dentro del bienestar íntimo. No están pensados para la estimulación, sino para trabajar la comodidad con la penetración de forma gradual y a ritmo propio. Por eso vienen dos: se empieza por el más estrecho y se pasa al siguiente solo cuando el primero resulta cómodo, sin plazos ni presión.

La forma responde a esa función. Cuerpo alargado con una curva suave y punta redondeada, superficie completamente lisa sin texturas ni relieves, y un diámetro constante que no sorprende a media inserción.

Cuidados

Limpiar antes y después de cada uso con agua tibia y jabón neutro o limpiador específico para juguetes, retirando la bala para lavar también el alojamiento interno. Secar por completo cada pieza antes de volver a montarla o guardarla. La bala no debe mojarse ni sumergirse: limpiarla con un paño húmedo. Usar únicamente lubricantes a base de agua: los lubricantes de silicona degradan la superficie de forma permanente. Retirar la pila si la pieza no se va a usar durante un tiempo. Guardar en bolsa individual, en lugar fresco y seco, y evitar el contacto directo con otras piezas de silicona.

Uso

Usar siempre lubricante a base de agua, en abundancia. Empezar por el dilatador más estrecho, en una postura cómoda y sin prisa, insertando solo hasta donde resulte cómodo. No forzar en ningún momento: la incomodidad es señal de parar, no de insistir. Sesiones cortas y regulares dan mejor resultado que sesiones largas y espaciadas. Pasar al segundo dilatador únicamente cuando el primero se tolere con facilidad, sin plazo fijo: para algunas personas son días y para otras semanas o meses, y las dos cosas son normales.

Two sizes and a progression. The Isabelle set from Dr. Laura Berman's Intimate Basics line pairs two silicone dilators of different diameters with a removable vibrating bullet that fits either one.

Dilators are their own category within intimate wellness. They aren't designed for stimulation, but for building comfort with penetration gradually and at your own pace. That's why there are two: you start with the narrower one and move to the next only when the first feels comfortable, with no deadline and no pressure.

The shape follows that purpose. A long body with a gentle curve and rounded tip, a completely smooth surface with no texture, and a consistent diameter that holds no surprises partway in.

The loop handle matters more than it looks. It lets you hold and guide the piece with one finger, with full control over depth and pace, and without forcing an awkward wrist position.

The vibrating bullet is removable and shared between both dilators. Vibration can help the muscles relax, and either piece can also be used without it.

Care Instructions

Clean before and after each use with warm water and mild soap or a dedicated toy cleaner, removing the bullet to wash the internal housing as well. Dry each piece completely before reassembling or storing. The bullet should not be wet or submerged: wipe it with a damp cloth. Use water-based lubricants only — silicone lubricants permanently degrade the surface. Remove the battery if the piece won't be used for a while. Store in an individual pouch in a cool, dry place, away from direct contact with other silicone pieces.

Using them

Always use water-based lubricant, generously. Start with the narrower dilator, in a comfortable position and unhurried, inserting only as far as stays comfortable. Never force it: discomfort is a signal to stop, not to push through. Short, regular sessions work better than long, infrequent ones. Move to the second dilator only when the first is easily tolerated, with no fixed timeline: for some people that's days, for others weeks or months, and both are normal.
