El acabado es el argumento. Con la luz apagada, la estructura de la atadura se dibuja sola sobre la piel: las vueltas, los cruces y el recorrido de la cuerda quedan visibles como líneas de luz. Es un efecto puramente estético, pero cambia por completo el aspecto de una atadura que de otro modo desaparecería a oscuras.
Se carga por exposición a la luz — natural o artificial, y más rápido bajo luz UV — y va perdiendo intensidad de forma progresiva.

Cuidados
Lavado a mano en agua fría con jabón neutro, sin frotar, y secado al aire completamente extendida o colgada — la cuerda guardada húmeda se degrada por dentro y pierde resistencia sin que se note por fuera. No usar secadora ni lejía: el calor y los químicos agresivos degradan el pigmento fosforescente además de la fibra. Revisar la cuerda entera antes de cada uso pasándola entre los dedos: buscar deshilachados, zonas adelgazadas o puntos rígidos. Guardar enrollada sin apretar, en lugar fresco y seco.

It glows in the dark. Ouch!'s Glow in the Dark Rope is a 5-metre bondage rope braided from 16 strands, with phosphorescent fibre that emits green light once charged.
The finish is the whole argument. With the lights off, the structure of a tie draws itself on the skin: wraps, crossings and the path of the rope stay visible as lines of light. It's a purely aesthetic effect, but it completely changes how a tie looks in a room where it would otherwise disappear.
It charges by exposure to light — natural or artificial, and faster under UV — and fades gradually.
Five metres is the practical starting length: plenty for wrists, ankles and single-column ties, which is where nearly everyone begins, and far more manageable than a long rope while you're still learning to handle the working end.

Care Instructions
Hand wash in cold water with mild soap, without scrubbing, and air dry fully laid out or hanging — rope stored damp degrades from the inside and loses strength without showing it on the surface. No dryer and no bleach: heat and harsh chemicals degrade the phosphorescent pigment as well as the fibre. Inspect the whole rope before each use by running it through your fingers: look for fraying, thinned sections or stiff spots. Store loosely coiled, in a cool, dry place.
