Segunda piel. La Latex Hood de Prowler Red es una capucha de látex moldeado que cubre la cabeza por completo, con acabado brillante, aberturas en los ojos y cierre de cremallera en la nuca.
El látex se comporta distinto a cualquier otro material del catálogo. Se ajusta al contorno de la cara y la cabeza sin holgura, reproduce los rasgos por debajo y crea un efecto visual que ningún tejido consigue. Es también el más exigente: no perdona el mal cuidado y requiere un rato para colocarse.
Las aberturas de los ojos son estrechas y quedan alineadas con la mirada. La cremallera trasera permite abrir la pieza con rapidez y es lo que hace posible colocarla, porque el látex ajustado no se pone tirando de él.
El acabado exterior es brillante de fábrica; el brillo se mantiene con abrillantador específico para látex.

Cuidados
El látex requiere un cuidado específico y se deteriora rápido si no se sigue.
Lavar a mano con agua tibia y jabón neutro después de cada uso, por dentro y por fuera. Enjuagar bien y secar por completo por ambos lados antes de guardar: la humedad atrapada degrada el material. Secar al aire, colgado y a la sombra, nunca con calor.
Empolvar el interior con talco antes de guardar y antes de colocarlo; el talco impide que las superficies se peguen entre sí y facilita la colocación. Como alternativa para vestir, puede usarse un lubricante a base de silicona específico para látex.
No usar nunca productos con aceite: aceites, cremas, vaselina y lubricantes oleosos destruyen el látex de forma irreversible. Tampoco disolventes ni alcohol.
Guardar en bolsa opaca, en lugar fresco y oscuro. La luz solar, el calor y el ozono degradan el látex, y el contacto con cobre, latón o bronce lo mancha de forma permanente. Guardar por separado de piezas metálicas y de otros materiales.
Antes de cada uso, revisar la pieza al trasluz buscando zonas finas, grietas o desgarros incipientes, y comprobar que la cremallera corre con soltura.

A second skin. The Prowler Red Latex Hood is a molded latex hood covering the entire head, with a glossy finish, eye openings and a zipper at the back of the neck.
Latex behaves unlike any other material in this catalog. It conforms to the contours of the face and head with no slack, reproducing the features underneath and creating a visual effect no fabric achieves. It's also the most demanding: it doesn't forgive poor care and takes a moment to get into.
The eye openings are narrow and sit in line with the gaze. The rear zipper allows quick opening and is what makes the piece wearable at all, since close-fitting latex can't be pulled on.
The exterior comes glossy from the factory; the shine is maintained with a latex-specific polish.

Care Instructions
Latex needs specific care and deteriorates quickly without it.
Hand wash in warm water with mild soap after every use, inside and out. Rinse well and dry completely on both sides before storing: trapped moisture degrades the material. Air dry hanging in the shade, never with heat.
Dust the inside with talc before storing and before dressing; talc keeps surfaces from sticking together and makes it easier to put on. As an alternative for dressing, a latex-specific silicone-based dressing aid works.
Never use anything oil-based: oils, creams, petroleum jelly and oil-based lubricants destroy latex irreversibly. No solvents or alcohol either.
Store in an opaque bag in a cool, dark place. Sunlight, heat and ozone degrade latex, and contact with copper, brass or bronze stains it permanently. Store separately from metal items and other materials.
Before each use, hold the piece to the light to check for thin spots, cracks or beginning tears, and confirm the zipper runs freely.
