Cuero cosido y ajuste a medida. La Leather Mask de Rouge es una capucha de cuero de cobertura completa, con panel frontal en contraste, cordonaje lateral con ojales metálicos y una correa acolchada de cuello con hebilla y argolla.

El cordonaje es lo que la distingue de una capucha de neopreno o de látex. Los cordones laterales permiten ceñir la pieza al contorno de la cabeza y ajustar el calce de forma progresiva, en lugar de depender de una talla fija. Con el uso el cuero se amolda.

El panel frontal en rojo lleva la abertura de los ojos recortada y contrastada, y el cuero de la construcción es de una sola capa, firme y flexible a la vez.

La correa de cuello va acolchada por dentro, con hebilla ajustable y una argolla metálica montada al frente.

Cuidados

Limpiar con un paño humedecido en agua tibia y jabón neutro, y secar bien. No sumergir: el agua endurece y agrieta el cuero. El interior está en contacto directo con la piel del rostro y acumula sudor, así que conviene limpiarlo después de cada uso y dejarlo airear antes de guardar. Un acondicionador para cuero cada cierto tiempo mantiene la pieza flexible; en el clima de Panamá conviene airearla con frecuencia para prevenir moho, sobre todo si se guarda cerrada. Guardar sin doblar en pliegues marcados —mejor rellena o extendida— en lugar fresco y seco, lejos de la luz directa y del calor. Secar bien los ojales, la hebilla y la argolla para evitar oxidación. Revisar antes de cada uso el estado de los cordones, los ojales, las costuras, la hebilla y la sujeción de la argolla.

Stitched leather and an adjustable fit. The Rouge Leather Mask is a full-coverage leather hood with a contrast front panel, side lacing through metal eyelets, and a padded neck strap with buckle and D-ring.

The lacing is what separates it from a neoprene or latex hood. Side cords let you draw the piece to the contour of the head and adjust the fit progressively, rather than depending on a fixed size. With wear, the leather shapes to you.

The red front panel carries the cut-out eye opening in contrast, and the construction leather is single-layer, firm and flexible at once.

The neck strap is padded on the inside, with an adjustable buckle and a metal D-ring mounted at the front.

Care Instructions

Clean with a cloth dampened in warm water and mild soap, and dry well. Do not submerge: water hardens and cracks leather. The inside sits directly against facial skin and collects sweat, so clean it after every use and let it air before storing. Leather conditioner now and then keeps the piece supple; in Panama's climate, air it frequently to prevent mildew, particularly if stored closed. Store without sharp creases — stuffed or flat is better — in a cool, dry place away from direct light and heat. Dry the eyelets, buckle and D-ring well to prevent rust. Before each use, inspect the cords, eyelets, stitching, buckle and the D-ring's attachment.
